“With our creativity, we human beings can learn, improve, and make progress. I think of it as our human ‘superpower’. The human mind is amazing!”

“What do you mean by ‘creativity’? I’m guessing you are not referring to artistic flair?”
Creativity is about what makes us human—creating new knowledge, understanding. It is the capacity to create new explanations. It is the ability to solve problems that are worth solving. It is the ability to create knowledge. Creativity is subject-specific: it is the meta-knowledge of how to solve a specific class of problems. So there is no such thing as raw, undifferentiated creativity. We can be very creative in one area and less so in another.
With our creativity, we human beings can learn, improve, and make progress. I think of it as our human ‘superpower’. The human mind is amazing!
